Little is known about the mysterious patriot known only as American Riot. He abruptly appeared in The City, declaring himself a defender of Americans—a subtle distinction from defending “America”—and quickly became a vocal advocate of justice for all. He is the imposing founder and leader of The Defenders of Absolute Justice, an organization he established to ensure that law and order are upheld without compromise.

A hero of immense power, American Riot possesses unmatched superhuman strength and nigh invulnerability, allowing him to smash through obstacles and absorb punishing blows with ease. His formidable power is reflected in his fighting style; he is known to act first and think later, valuing immediate, decisive action.

American Riot is strongly opposed to the divisions and restrictions placed on supers within the city. He is a steadfast mentor, having taken the heroines Mega Maiden and The Chop Chop Princess under his wing as his “little sisters of justice.”
